I put a lot of thought into the cards I make, I get caught up on the details. I have a thing for wanting my cards to be "over the top", right on down to the fancy lined envelopes I make for all my cards. I started making cards as a hobby, I really enjoyed seeing how happy people were when they received one of my special cards. Then friends started asking me to make them cards for them to give to their loved ones. In fact one of my friends has told me if she dares to send a store bought card to someone, they ask what happened to your friend, lol. From that I decided to open an Etsy shop to sell to a larger audience, but I was sidetracked along the way.
Researching on how to make my shop more popular I learned that I needed to write a blog. I truly got caught up in the whole blogging process with all the wonderful bloggers out there, but that in itself is a full time job! I was invited to join a few design teams along the way, I met so many wonderful talented people while blogging. I also entered contests and received awards and publications for my work.
But now I have come full circle and I want to get back to what truly makes me happy, making cards for my shop, so I have set my blog to the side. I may post from time to time, but I want my focus to be on my Etsy shop now. I spent some time designing some new cards, I have more designs in the pipeline too that I will be excited to share when I have them completed as they are a bit more complex (ok, over the top, lol.).
I hope you enjoy what you see here, if you want something in a different color than what you see, drop me a note I will do my best to accommodate you in any way I can. Thanks for taking time to read about me. ~Diane
